Though you can’t really see, the warm and sweet vanilla oatmeal is hiding underneath.
But well it’s in my tummy now.
This recipe is perfect for those who has to wake up at 5:45am in the morning for a 8am class. (That’s me) I hope you’ll find this useful too!
I’m not an oatmeal expert. I realise that I cook oatmeal differently everytime. You can check out my other oatmeal recipes/instructions under the oatmeal category below!
SWEET VANILLA OATMEAL
1/2c rolled oats
Pinch of salt
1/2c milk of choice (I used organic soy milk)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp liquid sweetener
On the night before, bring the liquids to boil in a pot, add rolled oats and salt and give it a good stir over low to medium heat.
Continue to let it cook over low heat and stir occasionally.
After 1-2 minutes, turn the heat to high and let it bubble vigorously before turning off the heat and stir.
Let it sit in the pot to cool and it will become dry.
Once it’s cooled, transfer to the refrigerator to chill overnight for breakfast the next morning.
The next day, microwave your pot for 40-50 seconds.
Add vanilla and sweetener and mix with the oatmeal well.
Microwave for another 20-40 seconds depending on how warm you want your oatmeal to be.
Transfer to your favourite bowl and top with your faves 👍
