Raw Vegan Coconut “Nutella” Brownie (Nut-free)

How to make nutella brownies when I quit nutella and don’t have hazelnuts? Hazelnuts aren’t cheap and they’re not easy to find.


I did some research and found the best substitute.


I don’t have a recipe for me to incorporate the secret ingredient into a baked brownie and I certainly don’t want to buy the real nutella. So I decided to make a no bake one.
The easiest way out is actually buying chocolate hazelnut butter but it’s not an easy find for me.

Raw, Vegan, nut free, dairy free, gluten free, grain free, naturally sweetened
10 tbsp sunflower seeds (approx 100g)
10 tbsp raisins or pitted dates (approx 2/3c)
8 tbsp desiccated coconut
2 tbsp raw cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
1 tbsp liquid sweetener (or omit)
4-6 tbsp coconut oil
Add all the dry ingredients into the food processor and pulse for 1-2 minutes.
Add the optional liquid sweetener and coconut oil.
Start with 4 tbsp first.
Pulse for 1 minute.
If everything does not stick together, add one more tbsp of coconut oil.
Pulse until the batter is sticky and well combined.
Place a baking sheet on top of your brownie pan or freezer safe container.
Transfer the batter to the pan.
I recommend using your hands to spread and press the batter down.
If there’s any oil on top, dap it off using a paper towel. You don’t want your brownie with white spots!
Freeze for at least 1h.
Slice and enjoy!
