There are times when you just want to eat baked oatmeal…
There are times when you want coffee so badly…
How about you add coffee to your oats and bake them?
I went to daiso yesterday with my mom and brother. I bought tableware! I was like walking up and down the tableware area.
This ramekin is the cutest thing and so is this spoon!
Oh, and you know I can’t live without chocolate right? We have two types of chocolate in there. Vegan chocolate chips and organic raw cacao nibs. Heh.
I might as well name this mocha baked oats. The aroma of the coffee and the strong coffee flavor infuses so so well with the chocolate. It’s so dreamy! But nahh I didn’t add cacao powder so I can’t name this mocha baked oats, yet. HAHAH!
COFFEE BAKED OATS
8 tbsp rolled oats
8 to 12 tbsp hot coffee
1-2 tbsp cacao nibs
2 tbsp chocolate chips
4 tbsp raisins
Handful of chopped nuts of choice
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
2 tbsp milk of choice
Add your oats into a large mixing bowl.
Add your hot coffee tbsp by tbsp just enough to cover your oats.
Let it soak up the coffee, about 10 minutes.
After soaking, add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
You can throw in some fruits into the mixture if you like. (Eg blueberries, chopped strawberries, banana coins, chopped peaches, cherries.)
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Grease your ramekin and pour the mixture in.
Smooth the top and add desired toppings. I added plums. Berries, bananas and apples work so well 😍 (but I have no bananas SIGH)
Bake for 20 minutes and it’s ready to serve! YAY!
