Vanilla Oatmeal 2.0

On mornings when you want thick oatmeals but don’t have the time to watch it? Let’s face it. Cooking whole rolled oats will take you quite some time and lots of patience. And constantly being in front of the stove.

Problem fixed. I made this while I am brushing my teeth, washing my face and preparing for school.

1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vanilla soy milk or milk of choice
1 tbsp raw honey or sweetener of choice
Dash of pure vanilla extract (optional if using vanilla flavoured milk)

After you get off your bed, before you brush up, combine the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. It is important that it only fills up to 1/4 of the saucepan. You don’t want anything to boil over because it will be left unattended.
Turn on the heat to low and place the lid on. Let it heat to a boil on its own while you wash up (about 5 minutes).
When you’re done, remove the lid and give it a stir, it should already be boiling and the oats tripled in size. Turn off the heat and prepare for school/work. Allow your oatmeal to thicken.
Now that you’re properly dressed for school/work and gotten your things ready, your breakfast is ready too!! Turn on the stove to heat it up again if you’d like. Stir in your sweetener off heat.
Enjoy your fuss free oatmeal! πŸ‘ I topped mine with banana, blueberries, 70% cocoa dark chocolate and bee pollen.
