My Pantry Essentials

I thought I’ll add this to show you my pantry essentials! I hope this will give you some ideas and introduce you to healthy eating! I’m always here for you if you need any help!

These are my frequent buys:

  • Fruits
  • Soy/hazelnut milk
  • Rolled oats
  • Natural sweeteners
  • Yogurt
  • Flours
  • Bread
  • Coconut oil
  • Nuttelex

FRUITS

  1. Strawberries
  2. Blueberries
  3. Kiwis
  4. Apples
  5. Bananas

SOY/HAZELNUT MILK

I use it for cooking and baking. The brands I like are Silk, Natura and Pacific Foods.

  • Unsweetened
  • Vanilla
  • Chocolate

NATURAL SWEETENERS

  1. Honey
  2. Pure maple syrup
  3. Muscovado sugar
  4. Demerara sugar
  5. St Dalfour fruit jams

YOGURT

It should not contain sugar, sucrose, cream, gelatin, starch, etc…

  1. Natural yogurt, unsweetened
  2. Pot set yogurt, unsweetened
  3. Chobani or Fage Greek yogurt

FLOUR

  1. Spelt (can substitute with all purpose flour 1:1 without altering much flavour and texture. Do note to not overwork the batter as the baked good can get tough if you do)
  2. Barley (my substitute for spelt flour when it’s not in stock πŸ˜‚)
  3. Whole wheat (gives the best texture when combined with barley flour)
  4. White whole wheat (works well on it’s own too)
  5. Oat (just blend rolled oats into flour using food processor) It’s a good alternative if you don’t want to spend money investing in the above. I find that using oat flour makes the batter less thick so adjustments might be needed if you’re new to using oat flour. When you’re new to oat flour though, you might not get used to the taste (that’s me in the beginning) and also do note that it will not rise as much.

OTHERS

  1. Raw cacao powder
  2. Hershey’s unsweetened 100% cocoa powder
  3. Quinoa
  4. Chia seeds
  5. Dark chocolate
  6. Tea: Earl Grey, green, white, fruit, chamomile, and an endless list because I love tea.
  7. Nescafe gold coffee
  8. Nuts: walnuts, almonds and cashews are the usual ones
  9. Pics Really Good Smooth Peanut butter
  10. Baking powder, baking soda, pure vanilla extract
  11. Dates
  12. Raisins
  13. Coconut flakes
  14. Cheddar/mozzarella
  15. Brown rice pasta
  16. Tomato puree
  17. Potatoes and sweet potatoes
  18. Broccoli
  19. Mushrooms
  20. Meat eg chicken and pork (can’t have beef at home)
  21. Eggs
  22. Tofu
  23. White fillet/cod fish

Hello (: I had the same question about cameras, and i’m amazed to hear you use your phone! Your photos are truly flawless πŸ˜› For me, i have a Samsung core so the camera isn’t that great, which is really frustrating, so i’m saving up for a camera. I was wondering how you make your photos look so amazing? do you use an app? and i can’t get the hang of styling food to look good for the camera, any tips?
thank you so much! I looove your recipes ❀ ❀

          2. Hey Lauren! Thank you so much! I edit my photos using vscocam and snapseed but that’s about it 😁 I’ll say just style it based on how you feel. Don’t focus on styling to impress others but enjoy the whole process and it will look and taste fabulous πŸ˜‰πŸ’•

        1. I buy them from my local supermarkets. If you can’t find them locally I suggest you get them from iherb. It’s cheaper too!
